I had high hopes going into the Labor Day weekend. I thought I could get some projects done, go through wedding decor to get rid of, bake, explore, relax...you know the usual high hopes you have going into a long weekend. However, I did not get get done nearly as much as I hoped. I spent most of my weekend finishing up wedding thank you's and it really made me reflect on all the gratitude I've been feeling through the past year.
You don't realize how much goes into planning a wedding until you start planning once yourself. I remember the long weekends working with my mother on crafting, the meetings with the florist and decorator, and all the nights after work I spend planning with Joe by my side.
My heart is so full with gratitude and joy. So many hands helped make our wedding day magical and beautiful. So the rest of the thank you's got finished this weekend, and yes, it was a long task, but a task that was so worthwhile.
Thank you to my mother who spent endless hours with me on the phone, talking about all the ideas I had for the wedding (It looked a lot different in the beginning than what happened in the end). Thank you to Julie and to my bridesmaids, who helped make the wedding look beautiful, and who gave me love and support through it all. Thank you in-laws, who were at an arms reach for any and everything. Thank you to my dear friend Logan. Without her at Hitched Without a Glitch, our wedding day seriously wouldn't have been possible. Thank you to our vendors, our photographers, and for our venue. Thank you to the family and friends who gave Joe and I so much love, prayers, and support.
My heart is still so happy from our wedding day, even it was just over 3 months ago. Our wedding day was fantastic, but being married to Joe is the best and everyday is even more magical.
